Free Street, Hingham MA
Thompson Builders constructed this new home on Free Street in Hingham MA after demolition of the earlier building on the site. The foundation was enlarged and a new stylish modern home was added.
Moving a Beach House, Hull MA
After a basement oil spill, this turn of the century antique home in Hull needed a cleanup. The owners engaged Thompson Builders as general contractor. To most efficiently remove the contaminated soil, the house was moved into the back yard. After cleanup a new foundation was constructed to raise the house three feet higher than the flood zone. The house was then moved back in place and new supports were installed and a lattice skirt was added to the wrap-around porch. Now, the family is once again enjoying their water view.
